Claude D. Gelinas, M.D.

Dr. Gelinas acquired both undergraduate and medical school degrees from the University of New Mexico, followed by internship and residency at the University of Chicago in the Department of Surgery. His fellowship in spine surgery, the most advanced level of training in the specialty, was attained at the University of Maryland in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and Fellowship trained.

Dr. Gelinas returned to Albuquerque to practice spine surgery in 1997. He was a founding physician in 2002 of Albuquerque Spine Consultants, LLC. Dr. Gelinas specializes in the surgical management of degenerative and traumatic spine pain.

Dr. Gelinas has four children, and he is an avid fan of the outdoors; enjoying both fishing and hunting.
